Lucona is an anti-fungal medication used to treat infections of the vagina, mouth, throat, oesophagus, abdomen, lungs, blood and other organs

  • Composition: Fluconazole 150mg
  • Dosage: For uncomplicated vaginal candidiasis, 150mg single dose
    For complicated vaginal candidiasis, 150mg every 72 hours for 3 doses
    For recurrent vaginal candidiasis, 150mg once daily for 10 – 14 days followed by 150mg once weekly for 6 months

Lucona is an anti-fungal medication used to treat infections of the vagina, mouth, throat, oesophagus, abdomen, lungs, blood and other organs. Lucona is also used to treat meningitis caused by fungus and treatment of oral thrush in people with weak immune system.

Indication

  • Acute or recurrent vaginal candidiasis and candidal balantis
  • Tinea pedis, corporis, cruris, pitiriasis versicolor and dermal candidiasis
  • Tinea pedis, corporis, cruris, pitiriasis versicolor and dermal candidiasis
  • Invasive candidal infection and crytococcal infections (meningitis)
  • Prevention of relapse of cryptococcal meningitis in AIDS patients after completion of primary therapy
  • Prevention of fungal infections in immuno-compromised patients
  • Treatment of skin infections
